Viendo los post en taringa me encuentro con este video. Es de una banda coreana tipo “Vieja Ola Chilena” en donde el baterista se roba el show con toda su expresión al tocar. El tema será con un ritmo suave pero el batero se explaya en cuerpo y alma para tocar el tema y me alegro el rato.
No encontré mucho más sobre la canción y el grupo de lo que sale en la descripción del video en YouTube. Quien canta es Kim Suhee y la canción se llama “You’re too much” que data del 1976. Quien encuentre algo avisa .
Vagando por youtube me encontré con esta canción y me acordé que es una de mis favoritas. George Michael canta I Can’t Make You Love Me originalmente interpretada por Bonnie Raitt. ¿Qué da que sea un cover? Nada, pues George la hace literalmente suya la canción. De hecho, esta versión la encuentro mil veces mejor que la original. Además la interpreta un hombre (aunque a él no le gusten las mujeres) lo que hace más fácil que me represente en los ratos que uno dice yo digo: Damn it, Rayos ¿Por qué tiene que ser así?, entre otros. En fin, una lenda (traducción: linda) canción para esos momentos .

La sigla TdlS significa Tema de la Semana y no tiene otra misión que exponer las canciones que me gustan a lo largo de la existencia de este blog. La idea es proponer cada semana un tema que me guste de mi biblioteca musical.
Para inaugurar la sección, propondremos un tema de Santana con Dave Matthews llamado Love of my Life (no, no es del Queen). Esta canción proviende el disco Supernatural (1999) de Santana, donde toca con una serie de músicos que van desde Eric Clapton, The Product G&B, Lauryn Hill/Cee-Lo, Everlast entre otros. Este es, por cierto, un buen disco.
Lo que me agrada de esta canción, aparte de lo que dice, es la parte salsona que tiene de hecho cuando nadie me ve, dejo que mi cuerpo se explaye al son de los timbales. Además, saber que toca Carlos, Dave y Carter Beauford suma muchos puntos. Pero que tanto bla bla, mejor veamos el video.
